Flock Book (flockbook.app and the Flock Book phone app) is provided by Gerizim Digital Ltd, the data controller for the account information described here. A church that uses Flock Book controls the records it enters about its own families and members; we process those records on the church’s behalf so that the service works.
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share one church’s records with any other church.
Only the people your church invites to its team. Each team member’s role (Senior Pastor, Church Admin, Pastor, Team Member or Viewer) decides what they can add, change or only view. A small number of Gerizim Digital staff can reach account information when needed to provide support or keep the service running.
Records are stored with Google Firebase in its europe-west2 data centre, protected by access rules so that only members of your church can read your church’s records. Payments are processed by Stripe. Both act as our service providers under their own data-protection terms.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, they confirm who you are. Notifications you switch on are delivered through Expo, Apple and Google. If you press Translate in the teleprompter, the script text you chose is sent to an outside translation service (Google Translate or MyMemory); no other church records are sent.
We keep your church’s records while your church uses Flock Book. If a trial or membership ends, records are kept safe so that your church can continue later. You can ask us to delete your account or your church’s records at any time — see Delete account.
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you. Members of a church who want their details changed or removed can ask their church, or write to us and we will pass the request to the church.
Flock Book accounts are for church leaders and team members aged 18 or over. A church may record children as members of a family; the church is responsible for having the family’s agreement to keep those details.
